There’s a level of excitement that comes with finding out a band you really enjoy is about to release new music. That level of excitement is exponentially greater when it’s been a minute since that band has released new music. A couple years back I got enthralled by a band and ever since then, I wanted more. And now without further delay, In Parallel are back with a new EP!

In Parallel are a band that I’ve been a champion of since I heard their song “Leave It With The Ghost.” That song has gone on to become one of my favorite songs of all time. Now, In Parallel are back with a new EP, Moral Injury. The first song released, “Carson Lore” is a very deep song that is also thought provoking. The atmospheric nature of the song sinks under your skin and gives you chills as the chords ring through. The delicate nature of the vocals make it feel melancholy while also being very urgent. Even the flippant use of the word “Fuck” right out of the gate feels poetic.

Moral Injury will be out on November 20 via Mind Over Matter records. I am very much looking forward to this EP. Bands like In Parallel come along when you least expect it and once you hear them, it’s like a calming sense that comes over you and you want more.
