It’s always fun when a song you think is someone else turns out to be someone you didn’t think about. I distinctly remember hearing “Come Undone” by Duran Duran. Back in early 1993, while listening to the radio, a song came on and it sounded really good and familiar. For years I swore it was a lost Depeche Mode song. Sadly though, I was incorrect. The song “Come Undone” while it does sound like Depeche Mode, it’s actually a Duran Duran song.

Released on Duran Duran’s seventh album, “Come Undone” it became a top ten hit. The video for the song was directed by Julien Temple (director of The Great Rock N Roll Swindle). A really interesting and fun fact about this song is, guitarist Warren Cuccurullo revealed the he and keyboardist Nick Rhodes had originally planned on using the song for a project outside of Duran Duran with Gavin Rossdale of Bush, but had changed plans when singer Simon Le Bon took a liking to the music and began to come up with lyrics on the spot.
