When it comes to the genre known as “Metalcore” if you do not include Vision Of Disorder as one of the originators, you don’t know your history. Vision Of Disorder are one of the most influential and underrated bands. While most focus on their first two albums, it’s their more recent albums that need to get their due. Especially their 2015 album, Razed To The Ground.
When Razed To The Ground came out, it hit like a ton of bricks falling from a tall building. The sheer impact of heavy and melodic is undeniable. Right out of the gate, track one, “Heart Of Darkness” hits hard. The way Tim Williams vocals seamlessly move through harsh and clean vocals is astounding. Truly he’s one of those underrated singers. Then you have the riffs and rhythm that just pulsate through your ears.
Now’s a great time to get familiar with Vision Of Disorder. I highly recommend all their albums. And it’s been since 2016 since I saw VOD live, it needs to happen again. A Los Angeles show would be amazing!!
