Holy Fawn for the last few years have become one of my favorite bands in the post-metal genre. The way this band can go from the most delicate sounds and textures then explode into a realm of heavy is otherworldly. When I saw them live a while back, it was one of those shows that really showed the magnitude at which this band plays. Now they are back with a new single, “Beneath A Lightless Star” and this track is a great summation of what Holy Fawn is all about. The etherial nature of the band shines while the heavy glistens with punishing delight. If you haven’t checked out Holy Fawn before, this is the time to do it!
