THE AUDIOECLECTICA PODCAST: EPISODE 004

Welcome to episode 004 of The Audioeclectica Podcast! This is a really fun topic we have for you; Rightfully and Overhated Bands! Brian and Justin go over a list of over 30 plus bands and discuss whether they are rightfully hated or overhated, as well as a few caveats to these bands as some can be considered “gateway bands” and others that just plain deserve the title of rightfully hated!

Thank you for listening and checking out Audioeclectica!

Be sure to also check out SinisterReviews.wordpress.com for all of Justin’s band/album reviews!

And remember, always “Listen Eclectically!!”

THE AUDIOECLECTICA PODCAST: EPISODE 3

We are back for another fun episode of The Audioeclectica Podcast. Episode 3 is a fun one as Justin and myself (Brian), went on a fun shopping excursion to a few stores. One of which was The Record Collector on Melrose Ave in Hollywood. If you haven’t read the feature article on this store, do check it out. The Record Collector is a great store with a lush history of being the oldest record store in Los Angeles. We also went to Headline Records in Hollywood, Game Dude in North Hollywood and Deadly Wax in Granada Hills. We highly recommend The Record Collector.

Stay tuned for more episodes, as we have a lot of great topics upcoming on future episodes!

Happy Listening!

THE AUDIOECLECTICA PODCAST: EPISODE 002

Welcome to episode 002 of The Audioeclectica Podcast! We thought it was only fitting that our second episode be about second albums and if they are better than the debut. There’s some state the obvious ones we go through, tough choices, some interesting debates and a quick fire round. We also touch on a future topic of gateway bands and vocalists.

Expect a lot more to come as we have a plethora of topics to discuss and explore. As always your feedback is welcome. Leave us a comment and let us know if there is a topic you’d like us to discuss.

Thank you for your support!

THE AUDIOECLECTICA PODCAST: EPISODE 001

This has been a long time coming and it’s finally here! The All New and Revamped Audioeclectica Podcast. I’m very pleased and proud to be bringing this back. Joining me on this venture are a few people that I’d like to shout out. First being my co-host Justin Sinclair (of sinistermusicreviews.wordpress.com). Justin is a good friend of mine and we share a common interest in a lot of the same music and I’ve taken it upon myself to expand his musical horizons. And it’s definitely paid off! Look at you know! Also a shout to Diggy at Lucky Star Radio for hosting the show and for all your behind the scenes work. And finally my friend Dionne at JASI Entertainment for pushing me to get this thing going again and for the support!

The first episode is all about reunions, bands that have stuck it out, best reunions, cash grab bands/tours, reunions we wish would happen and more. Plus some really great tidbits of information about the bands, tours, shows, and then some. This is the first of many episodes to come. Lots of different topics will be discussed and opinions shared. So come along for this ride and join the fun!

If there is a topic on your mind you’d like us to discuss, leave us a comment and we will add it to the list.

Thank you all for your support throughout the years! Audioeclectica is on its way to bigger and better things and this is just the start! Stay Tuned and remember to always Listen Eclectically!

Best,

Brian

COMING SOON TO AUDIOECLECTICA

Welcome to the almost all new Audioeclectica. Since last year when I took a break from this, I had a lot of time to think about what I wanted this site to be moving forward. As much as I enjoy writing about bands, albums, songs, etc, I came to the realization that I can’t keep up with it on a daily basis. So, as this new chapter of Audioeclectica begins, the articles might not come every day but, there will always be something to check out whether on Audioeclectica.com or on the socials.

During that break I also started to finally put the pieces back together to relaunch the Audioeclectica Podcast. Yes, I know everyone has a podcast these days but, I too have a lot of stuff to share and it’s going to be a fun way to talk about multiple bands and topics. My friend Justin (also a fellow Audioeclectica Reader) will be joining me on the podcast to discuss a myriad of topics. The Audioeclctica Podcast will launch in mid March.

Live Shows are a huge part of the new Audioeclectica. For the past couple years I’ve been working with “Cobalt” Dave Politi, the founder of the legendary So Cal All Ages club, The Cobalt Cafe, on a new venture called The Cobalt Presents. Essentially we brought back the old Cobalt at different venues throughout So Cal, and have reinvigorated a scene for up and coming bands both younger and older, as well as reuniting some old school Cobalt bands. If you are looking for a show please send us an email at thecobaltpresents@gmail.com.

Also coming soon will be Audioeclectica Radio. I’m working on building a really fun and interactive old school radio show where I will play whatever I’m feeling like and talk about interesting things as well as have specialty shows for genres and more. I’m sick of streaming sites and their algorithims ruining music and the listening aspect. So I’m brining it back old school.

Some of you might have already started to see new logo rollouts for Audioeclectica. That’s all part of the fun behind the scenes of what is going on. I’m working on a full on revamp of the site and how it looks. I’m planning on making Audioeclectica more than just an underground thing and I sure hope you all stick around for all that is to come for Audioeclectica.

There will be a lot more to come as well but, I can’t give away all the surprises!

See you at a show or on the interwebs!

-Brian
