I’ve been on a huge Incubus kick as of late. They are also preparing to release a new album shortly. Hopefully it’s a return to form. While in my Incubus mode, I came up with my “Ultimate Set List” for them.

A while back before Metallica’s new album Hardwired…To Self Destruct came out, I made an “Ultimate Set List” for them. But now that the album is out and it’s an absolute beast, I thought I should update what would be on my dream set list.

I was talking to a friend the other day and during our conversation the subject of Nirvana came up. While in the midst of our talk, I began thinking of making this ultimate set list and the songs that would be on it. Let’s pretend for a moment that Kurt is still alive and he and Nirvana did what Guns N Roses did, one day they announce that they are getting back together for a tour. I haven’t done an “Ultimate Set List” in awhile. I was thinking to myself the other day that The Smashing Pumpkins have so many great songs on their albums that get overlooked that I should do an Ultimate Set List, if only to put it out in the ether that these songs should be played live. Ultimate Set List: Stone Temple Pilots

I had the pleasure of seeing Stone Temple Pilots a few times in my life. When I saw them Scott was always on his game. The one thing that kind of bothered me about the show was the set list. The songs that were chosen to play were mainly just the “hits.” I had hoped that each time they would play some deep cuts, but that didn’t happen. Even though Scott has left us, here is what I would have loved to hear at a show.

Ultimate Set List: Guns N Roses

Well since they announced their return I thought why not do a dream set list for one of my all time favorite bands.

In regards to the “reunion” I am just going to say this. I do want to go see it. I don’t care if it’s bad (which I’m sure parts of it will be). I just want to go to the show with some good people and hear the songs and sing along. Considering that Appetite For Destruction will be 30 years old next year, it’s about damn time these guys did this for the fans.
