NEW EVERY TIME I DIE!!!!

Every Time I Die released not one but two new songs today and both are absolutely killer. For a band that’s been together for over 20 years, they’ve always been able to grow and evolve in such a way that shows maturity and depth on levels that most bands can only dream of. These two songs are just the tip of the iceberg of what’s to come. “A Colossal Wreck” is classic Every Time I Die, while “Desperate Pleasures” is a more experimental turn but, still the same band you love through and through.

New Release: Liam Gallagher- All You’re Dreaming Of

Liam Gallagher – “All You're Dreaming Of” - Stereogum

Ever since Liam Gallagher released his debut solo album As You Were in 2017, I’ve been hooked. Both of his solo albums As You Were and Why Me, Why Not are tremendous and great rock albums. They also solidify Liam as one of the best frontmen and singers. This past week, Liam released a new single, “All You’re Dreaming Of.” It’s a very sentimental song and features some very deep words from Liam. There is definitely a John Lennon inspiration on this song and it’s done so well. I’ve included a live version of the song and it’s truly wonderful!

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been on one hell of a Smashing Pumpkins kick for a while. Soon, I will go into all that and explain why you really need to take the time and delve into the catalog of the Pumpkins as well as Billy’s solo work. Though, like I said, that’s for another day. Today however, I want to share a really cool cover that Billy did while a guest on The Howard Stern Show a few years back. It”s not easy to cover and do Neil Young justice but, Billy was able to and it feels right too. Take a couple mins and let this one soak in!

Instrumental Songs: Metallica- Orion

Since I started this topic, I made a giant list of songs to feature. The list is endless and the hardest part is figuring out what one to write about first. Thankfully, today I woke up with a riff in my head and I immediately remembered where it came from. Which now brings me to Metallica and their epic “Orion.” This song is so damn good. It’s absolutely one of the best instrumental songs ever. At over 8 minutes long, this song can take you on an adventure. It’s got all the best things about Metallica in it. Plus Cliff Burton’s bass parts on this song are superb!
